My kids are school aged and I'm very involved in what's going on in their schools. I enjoy gardening and have been working on slowly removing grass on all sides of the house in order to plant more edibles and flowers. I like to knit and crochet and find that either one helps me to focus better if I'm sitting listening to someone give a speech. I love listening to books on tape/CD and I love our local library. I moved here from a big town with a brand new library that didn't hold a candle to what Fort Collins has.
I attend a local church that leans pretty far towards the side of conservatism and I live in a neighborhood that leans pretty far towards the side of liberalism. I myself prefer to lean toward the side of "I want more than just two choices"ism.
I spend most of my time north of Prospect Road. It seemed like a fitting title if I'm going to be writing about the people, places and events in my life.
(I'm wearing a Sweetspot in this photo. It provides back support when you're out and about. They were designed and are sold by a north of Prospect local.) |

Hi. My name is Meg, and I am a Colorado transplant. Though I graduated from high school in Colorado Springs (Go Cougars!), I've lived in Fort Collins for the past 11 years. In the time that we've lived here, Fort Collins has grown and changed quite a bit -- There are many new restaurants. Bohemian Nights and FoCoMX, as well as Streetmosphere, have liven'd up the feel of downtown. And I'm no longer seeing only white faces everywhere I go. (Now I see only mostly white faces, which is a step towards diversity even if it's a small one.)
